January is always the most difficult month for me in terms of waking up in the morning. The holidays make me accustomed to sleeping in and slowly drinking several cups of tea before I even think about starting the day. This makes going back to the real world particularly difficult. I’ve found the best remedy for returning to real life, post-holidays, is to treat myself to a delicious black tea that isn’t in my normal circulation.
I’ve always loved Earl Grey, so it was a no brainer to make my January morning tea, Cream of Earl Grey. It has all the qualities I love about Earl Grey but with a new blend that makes those cold January mornings a little warmer.
Those of you that love Earl Grey know why it is one of best black teas available; the twist of citrus from the bergamot oil makes it a unique tea to wake up to. Cream of Earl Grey improves on this seemingly perfect blend. Every cup is a perfect balance between the citrus flavour and the rich, creamy vanilla taste. Additionally, Cream of Earl Grey has all the benefits of Earl Grey; it gives you energy, boosts your immune system, improves your heart health, decreases stress and anxiety and improves digestion. Cream of Earl Grey is a delicious new blend for a classic tea that is beneficial to your health and will wake you up on those mornings you keep hitting the snooze button.
For those of you that love to drink cold drinks long into the winter, Cream of Earl Grey makes a delicious iced tea. After steeping your tea for 4-7 minutes, add ice to your drink and enjoy!
